We offer multiple programs for our clients, our staff, and our community.
Practical English Program
Organized by us, ran by volunteers; our women get the opportunity to engage in conversational English multiple times a week. Our ladies are at different levels of English, and we pride ourselves on meeting them where they are at, making them feel comfortable, and building relationships with every individual.
Volunteers meet individually with a client to best asses how to support her. From going to the grocery store with her, to studying for the Citizenship test, to making sure she has someone to lean on - our ladies know they can rely on their mentors and build true friendships.
Teachers come to educate our ladies on a range of topics and skills.
Every year we award scholarships to those women who are most deserving and in need. Through this program we are able to help them achieve their dreams and to assist them to give back to the community.
Let Women of the World help you find reliable candidates. Our applicants are pre-screened for qualifications and motivations, ensuring they are accountable and ready to work.
Employment is one of the biggest steps toward independence and self-reliance, making it a major focus for WoW.
Our services are completely free for both clients and employers.
We often refer our clients out to other organizations or others will refer them to us. Partner with us to help better build a network of support for forcibly displaced women.
The professional development and the mental health of our staff is of the upmost importance. The better trained and supported our staff is, the better they can serve and support our clients. We are always looking for the most relevant and up-to-date trainings, workshops, and events to keep our staff informed and prevent the burnout that can happen in this line of work.
