Naween came with her family from Afghanistan as refugees fleeing the Taliban. She had originally completed schooling in her home country to go into law but upon arrival in the US, she decided she wanted to switch up majors and start studying Computer Science. She completed English classes at Brigham Young University and immediately enrolled at SLCC to complete her degree. She hopes to also continue at Weber State.  After completing her One Refugee internship with WoW, she continued to volunteer her time by offering translation services and teaching English classes. Naween is extremely dedicated to supporting our Afghani refugees, as well as committed to her studies at SLCC. She works part-time in the WoW office and is looking forward to supporting our wonderful clients!
