WoW Loves Utah, Gives in Utah

Women of the World loves Utah, gives in Utah! We are so happy to be a part of this community that is so neighborly, that helps our ladies feel at home. WoW knows that Utahns give generously — of their time and from their hearts — so we participate in the one day per year crowdfunding event Love Utah, Give Utah.

According to the Community Foundation of Utah which coordinates Love UT Give UT, this event is an annual giving day to support Utah’s nonprofit sector. Using Razoo, an online giving platform, nonprofits collect donations and promote their cause in the month of March and on the 24-hour day of giving. The organizations with the highest number of donors by the end of the giving day are eligible for cash prizes, multiplying the collective impact of thousands of individual donors. Since the first Love UT Give UT in 2013, the event has raised over $4.2 million for nonprofits and schools across Utah.

This year, Women of the World is excited to partner with local marketing firm Clearlink for a new spin on connecting with our fellow Utahns, a Tweet-a-thon!

Clearlink redesigned the Women of the World logo, the website, and is now helping “[the WoW] brand create customers.” Clearlink is extraordinarily savvy on social media and Women of the World wants to have a ‘grand opening’ engagement to thank Clearlink for all of their hard work on our platforms, so a Love Utah Give Utah Tweet-a-thon is the perfect “working party.”

“It’s that simple. Point, click, and give where you live during Love UT Give UT!”

Starting 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 30th at the Women of the World offices (3347 S. Main in SLC), WoW will host Clearlink, donors, volunteers, staff, directors, and our ladies in an open-house complete with ethnic food, entertainment, and plenty of bandwidth! Join us to tweet and share our efforts on social media (and other, older channels too)!

Utahns are great neighbors. Our ladies love it here because they know someone will be there to help them, to look out for their kids, and to be fair. There are a lot of wonderful and committed volunteers in Women of the World that love the fact that all we ask of them is to befriend refugee women. We count on the benevolence of the community to continue our programs and Utahns have continued to show their support.

Thank you again for giving where you live!
