Community Development Corporation of Utah

Sarah Beaumont has more than two decades of experience across asset management, consulting and non-profit finance and leadership and currently serves as Chief Financial Officer for Community Development Corporation of Utah (CDCU), a non-profit that helps Utahns thrive by empowering them on their path toward financial security, housing stability and access to affordable homes. She joined CDCU from the International Rescue Committee (IRC) where she spent four and a half years as Deputy Director, Finance and Operations of their Salt Lake City and Missoula offices and was responsible for developing and managing the offices’ budgets and financial operations and reporting for more than 100 government, foundation, corporate and private grants and contributions. Prior to joining IRC, she spent more than 10 years in various fund accounting, portfolio analysis and investor relations roles at T. Rowe Price, OppenheimerFunds, and Integrated Corporate Relations in Baltimore, Maryland, and New York City. She also worked as an independent consultant assisting small businesses with establishing business plans, operating budgets, and financial reporting systems prior to transitioning to the non-profit industry.

Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Economics and Modern Languages and Linguistics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and a Master of Business Administration from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. She has also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Sarah is originally from the East Coast and moved to Salt Lake City in 2018 after a multi-year career pause spent traveling around the world. She has solo traveled to more than 60 countries but has traded her backpack for a diaper bag and now enjoys adventures with her son – from the playground to the mountains and everywhere in between.
