International Women’s Day

Women Of the World invites you to celebrate March 8th — International Women Day. International Women’s Day is an occasion marked by women’s groups around the world. This date is also commemorated at the United Nations and is designated in many countries as a national holiday. When women on all continents, often divided by national boundaries and by ethnic, linguistic, cultural, economic, and political differences, come together to celebrate their day, they can look back to a tradition that represents at least nine decades of struggle for equality, justice, peace and development. We would like to choose a theme for this year (Last year it was: Healthy Women, Healthy Families). For this year I would like to propose (Support Women of all Nations to Achieve their Dreams) or (Women Uniting for Peace). Last year we had a walk at Liberty Park to celebrate women’s health, we would like to have twice as many women, MEDIA, and a great idea for an activity that supports our theme. Please send me your ideas to make this year as wonderful as last year for the refugee women in Utah. Help to salute her

strength, her support, and her sacrifice for her children’s and her family. Show women that they are honored not only as mothers, but as leaders; show them they are valued not only for being compassionate, but for their diligence in creating a brighter world.
